During the visit, he checked the monitoring room, lab, and section of the WWTP where wastewater treatment takes place.
WD News: Delhi Jal Board (DJB) Vice Chairman Shri Somnath Bharti recently inspected the Coronation Pillar Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) with senior DJB officials.
He showed the samples of sewage water coming into the WWTP and the treated water that comes out of the plant to the media, stating that the wastewater is being treated according to prescribed parameters.
Shri Bharti announced that the treated water from the Coronation Pillar WWTP would be reused in the future, and efforts are underway to incorporate the treated water into the system for reuse.
Furthermore, during his visit, he stated that the Coronation Pillar WWTP, with a capacity of 70 MGD, was inaugurated in 2022 and is currently the largest wastewater treatment plant in Asia, with about Rs. 500 crore invested in its development.
