WD NEWS: The theme of the 7th India Water Week 2022, “Water Security for Sustainable Development with Equity” is aimed at learning about the future plans and schemes charted out to build a smart and water-efficient India.
On day-two of this mega event, eminent members from the government, national and international water associations, water companies, and end-user industries gathered for this purpose.
There was a plethora of rich deliberations during the planned sessions of conferences and seminars, which put the spotlight on Sustainable Agriculture and Water Management, Water Security, Groundwater Resources, Quality Challenges in the Water Sector, Micro and Macro Interventions of Water Management, Impact of Climate Change, SDG6 (Sustainable Development Goal 6), and Demand and Supply Management for Water.
These interactive conference sessions and seminars, acted as a definitive forum for multi-disciplinary dialogue.
The exhibition, which is running parallel to these events, is showcasing the technologies, latest developments and available solutions for water & wastewater management. It is a unique networking opportunity for the exhibitors to display products and services to the practicing water resource professionals from participating countries. It will enable them to find new joint ventures from the growing business in this emerging and technologically important area.
Visitors showed keen interest in the products and technologies on display at various stalls and interacted with the water experts present there.
Young water professionals and students of various colleges and universities visited the stalls of water companies and government departments. The visit gave them a unique perspective on water management with a direction on how they could be a part of India’s crusade towards achieving its SDG6 (Sustainable Development Goals) and becoming a water-efficient country.
