TERI Launches Policy Briefs at WSDS2024 for Sustainable, Climate-resilient Practices

TERI launched a policy brief at WSDS2024 on ‘Benchmarking Industrial Water Use Efficiency in India: Opportunities for Water-Intensive Industries’. With support from the National Water Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, the institute conducted a comprehensive assessment of water-intensive industries in India. The assessment identified opportunities, technologies, best practices, and policy interventions for reducing water consumption. These interventions, along with the wastewater recycle and reuse opportunities formed the basis for identification of potential benchmarks in water-intensive industries.

The event was graced by Dr. Vibha Dhawan, Director General, TERI, Mr. Anshuman, Director, TERI and Mr. Mannu Ji Upadhyay, Director, Bureau of Water Use Efficiency, National Water Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, RD & GR, Govt. of India, with a special video message by Hon’ble Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Ministry of Jal Shakti.
