WD News: A control room will be established at the state level for time-bound and effective implementation of various schemes, including Swachh Bharat and Jal Jeevan Mission, through the CM’s ‘war room,’ according to Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis.
The statement came after Mr Fadnavis and CM Eknath Shinde had a review meeting with Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
Mr Fadnavis asked the rural development department to speed up various initiatives under the Swachh Bharat Mission. Mr Shekhawat too said that the projects must be expedited.
While Mr Shekhawat expressed the hope that Maharashtra would play a pioneering role in implementing his ministry’s schemes,
Mr Shinde said that with the centre extending support, priority would be given to complete various schemes in the state.
