WD News: Cambi has announced that it has won its first project in Israel for a thermal hydrolysis process (THP) system to treat solids from a wastewater treatment facility in the city of Be’er Sheva.

Thermal hydrolysis, followed by anaerobic digestion, will enable the water utility company Mei Sheva to address urban growth in the region, which currently has more than 240,000 residents.

Eirik Fadnes, CEO at Cambi, remarked: “We look forward to a fruitful collaboration with Mei Sheva to bring into operation the first THP in a desert city”.

The contract comprises the THP system and ancillary equipment such as digester coolers, a silo, and a steam boiler. The project is scheduled for site delivery in the first quarter of 2025.
