The water level in Mullaperiyar dam on Thursday stood at 119 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 205 cusecs and a discharge of 100 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 47.67 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 153 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs. Periyar dam recorded a rainfall of 1.2 mm and Thekkadi 1.8 mm in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m., PWD officials said.
