Rajasthan CM Sanctions Rs 1,003 Crore for Irrigation System

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given financial approval of Rs 1003.19 crore for various works related to various canals, water, and irrigation projects.

WD News: As part of Rajasthan government’s continuous work for the development and strengthening of the water system in various areas of the state, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given financial approval of Rs 1003.19 crore for various works related to various canals, water, and irrigation projects.

With this approval, the strengthening of dam and canal under Margia minor irrigation project in Dungarpur district, main canals of Meja dam in Bhilwara, Saag Dungri anicut on Anas river in Banswara, Thapda anicut lift irrigation project, solar-based micro irrigation project, construction of Danpur lift irrigation project, capacity enhancement and strengthening of down strip access channel of Kagdi pickup weir, anicut and causeway on Ahu river in Jhalawar, prevention of erosion of Kanthali river, 7.50 hectares in Chittorgarh from surplus water of Badi, Mansarovar and Bhavaliya dams and other works will be done.

Along with this, electrification of various civil and mechanical works and sprinkler irrigation facility will be done on 10,000 hectares of Chaudhary Jambheshwar Lift Canal (Phalodi Lift) and the remaining area of Neta Vitarika.
