New water station for Sector 5

Gurgaon: A new water-boosting station with a pumping capacity of 6 lakh litres will come up in Sector 5. The station, constructed for Rs 3.5 crore, will supply water to Ashok Vihar, Sheetla Colony, and Gurgaon village, among other areas. “Two zincalume tanks with a capacity of three lakh litres each have been installed at the boosting station. The station, supplying water to Ashok Vihar, Sheetla Colony, and Gurgaon village, among other areas, is directly linked with the GMDA line. However, we will now regulate the supply through this boosting station,” said Sanjog Sharma, MCG assistant engineer, adding that the water is supplied for two hours in the morning and evening so that we can minimise water wastage in these areas. Meanwhile, MCG is constructing another boosting station in Sector 23, which currently has no boosting station.
