WD News: Delhi Jal Board is preparing to provide a better water supply to the residents of Delhi in the coming summer season. A summer action plan is being prepared by DJB. Delhi Jal Board Vice Chairman Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj held the third phase of meetings with Delhi MLAs recently. A micro summer action plan for water will be prepared with the suggestion of the MLAs.
Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj said that Delhi Jal Board will make optimum use of available resources to ensure that the water supply is better in summer. Efforts are also being made to increase the production of water. Optimal water management will improve the water supply, he added.
The DJB officials were also instructed to ensure a better water supply to the people of Delhi during the coming summer season by completing the work under the Summer Action Plan in time.
The Delhi Jal Board is formulating a new list that will help it prepare a water action plan for the summer season. A list of demand and supply of water is being prepared this time at the ward level in every assembly constituency. In the list, information regarding the demand and supply of water is collected from different colonies of Delhi. Such areas are being identified in every assembly where there is a need to improve the water supply in summer.
