WD News: The Uttar Pradesh government has approved projects worth more than Rs 1,000 crores for drinking water and sewage under the ‘Amrit-2 scheme’ of the Urban Development Department.
A piped water supply project worth Rs 246 crore has been approved for wards 1 and 2 of Sarojini Nagar and Ibrahimpur ward of Lucknow, which will benefit a population of 1.70 lakh.
Meanwhile, a sewage project worth Rs 547 crore has been approved in Ghaziabad, covering 10 wards and benefiting 68,000 households.
In Agra, a project worth Rs 264 crore has been approved for Ganga river-based water supply in the Bantu Katra area, which will connect 38,431 houses.
