Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority Completes 800mm Water Pipeline for Al Shanouf Suburb

WD News: The project, which commenced in mid-July 2022, has used environmentally friendly materials that maintain water quality. The new pipeline will provide fresh, pure water to the areas of Mahdub, Hadibah, and the new areas in Al Shanouf Suburb, enhancing the efficiency of the network.

Eng. Faisal Al Sarkal, Director of the Water Department at SEWA, explained that the project is in line with the vision to focus on providing essential services to new areas and development projects according to the highest specifications.

He pointed out that the strategic water transportation pipeline from Al Zubair Station to Al Shanouf Suburb has been fully completed in all its stages, including excavation works, pipe installation, control valve chambers, protection works, and maintenance of surrounding roads.

Carbon steel pipes protected with safe and sanitary epoxy coating were used, by the latest international standards for freshwater distribution and transportation systems. Water pressure tests have been conducted, and the pipeline is ready for operation.
