INOXCVA Partners With Sweden’s Wayout to Manufacture Water Microfactories in India

The companies aim to develop scalable drinking water infrastructure for domestic and international markets.

INOX India Limited (INOXCVA) has entered into a strategic collaboration with Sweden-based Wayout International AB to manufacture advanced water microfactories in India, marking the company’s entry into the decentralised water infrastructure segment. Under the partnership, INOXCVA will manufacture Wayout’s proprietary water microfactories in India, supporting the Swedish company’s global strategy of expanding access to safe drinking water while reducing dependence on single-use plastic bottles and conventional water distribution systems.

Wayout’s automated decentralised microfactory technology enables the production of high-quality drinking water from multiple water sources closer to the point of consumption. The system is designed to reduce transportation requirements, cut plastic waste and improve water security through intelligent, digitally monitored infrastructure. Decentralised drinking water solutions The collaboration combines Wayout’s proprietary water technology with INOXCVA’s capabilities in precision manufacturing, stainless-steel process systems, modular engineering, automation and execution of complex industrial projects. The companies aim to develop scalable drinking water infrastructure for domestic and international markets.

Deepak Acharya, Chief Executive Officer of INOX India, said, “Wayout’s decision to collaborate with INOXCVA reflects the confidence global technology companies place in India’s manufacturing ecosystem and our ability to deliver sophisticated, high-quality, and scalable industrial solutions. We look forward to bringing those capabilities to the decentralised water infrastructure sector and supporting Wayout’s growth ambitions in India and beyond.” Ulf Stenerhag, Chairman and CEO of Wayout International AB, said, “INOXCVA’s advanced manufacturing infrastructure, engineering capabilities, global execution experience, and strong reputation for quality made them a natural partner for us. Together, we aim to make sustainable drinking water solutions more accessible while contributing to reduced plastic consumption and a more resilient water future.”

The companies said the partnership will support the deployment of decentralised drinking water solutions across hospitality, residential communities, industrial facilities, institutions, remote locations and infrastructure projects. The initiative also aligns with global efforts to promote circular resource use, reduce plastic waste and strengthen longterm water resilience through localised production.
