Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav laid the foundation stone for an Rs 800 crore water supply project in Indore on 14 January 2026 at the Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium.
The project, under AMRUT 2.0 Indore Water Supply Scheme, aims to provide clean drinking water to the city’s growing population.
CM Yadav emphasised the government’s commitment to clean water for every village and city under the Jal Jeevan Mission, stating, “With the guidance of Modi and full support of the state government, Indore is moving forward towards self-reliance.” Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat highlighted the implementation of Prime Minister Modi’s vision in Madhya Pradesh under Yadav’s leadership.
Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav thanked the CM for prioritising Indore’s future water needs, expanding the project’s scope to Rs 2,400 crore. The project features advanced infrastructure like a modern water treatment plant and power substations to ensure an uninterrupted water supply for decades.
