Canada-India Business Forum Organised in Mumbai

WD News: The Consulate General of Canada organised the “Canada-India Business Forum and one-to-one meetings with the visiting Canadian companies in the water and wastewater sector,” on November 24 in Mumbai with the objective of e.xpanding India operations by identifying new clients both the municipal wastewater, water treatment, industrial water reuse and sustainability perspectives. The event was supported by Water Digest.

With seven Canadian water & wastewater companies participating in the daylong sessions, the event was a platform to pursue partnership opportunities between Canadian and Indian organisations.

The event kicked off with opening remarks by Diedrah Kelly, Consul General of Canada in Mumbai, India.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, Partner, Corporate Finance, Deloitte TTILLP took forward the proceedings by delivering a talk on Water and Wastewater Industry Opportunities in India.

This was followed by Mr. Ajay Popat, President, Ion Exchange (India) Ltd. delivering the keynote address.

Mr. Masood Mallick, CEO, RE Sustainability also addressed the audience.

Dr Ajit Salvi, Deputy Chief Engineer, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai shared his project experiences with the audience.

In the second half of the event, all the participating Canadian companies gave their presentations one by one in the seminar.

The event concluded with a one-to-one meeting session with the Canadian companies.
