MECO has acquired the California-based company with the intention to strengthen its ultrapure water treatment portfolio.
WD News: MECO – a Grundfos Company, active in Water for Injection – has acquired San Diego based Water Works, thereby strengthening its ultrapure water solutions to life science and biopharmaceutical customers.
“Water Works offers MECO a broader product portfolio with smaller capacity, high purity water systems and superior service capabilities in California,” said George Gsell, President, MECO.
By joining MECO, Water Works will become a part of Grundfos as a member of the industry division’s water treatment solution platform.
Water Works already has a strong foothold in the Californian market serving the life-science and biotech sectors with a range of ultrapure water treatment expertise, offerings and services.
“With the acquisition of EUROWATER in Europe and MECO in the USA, we are building a global water treatment solutions platform to help our industrial customers address their water challenges,” said Philippe Laval, VP, Water Treatment Solutions, Industry Division, Grundfos.
