GREATER NOIDA WEST, July 18, 2024 — The Greater Noida Authority has announced the construction of the first Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Greater Noida West. This STP, with a capacity of 45 million liters per day (MLD), will be built at a cost of Rs. 80 crores. Tenders have been issued, and construction is set to begin soon, with an expected completion timeline of one and a half years. The project aims to address the urgent need for efficient sewage management in the sectors and villages of Greater Noida West.

- Project Cost and Capacity: The STP will cost Rs. 80 crores and have a capacity of 45 MLD.

Greater Noida West has long faced challenges with sewage management due to the absence of an efficient sewage treatment system. Greater Noida West STP Project Details:
The CEO of Greater Noida Authority, NG Ravi Kumar, has prioritised the construction of the STP, recognising its critical importance. The sewer department has already issued tenders, inviting companies to apply until July 29, with pre-qualification bids opening on July 31. The selected company will begin construction shortly thereafter, aiming for completion within 18 months.

Upon completion, the STP will serve all sectors and villages in Greater Noida West, significantly improving sewage management. The purified sewage will enhance sanitation and environmental quality, providing substantial relief to residents.
Projects:
Alongside the STP, the Greater Noida Authority has planned various infrastructure projects, including:
- Electrification: Internal electrification of community buildings in Sector Beta One and Two.
- LED Installation: Installation of LED lights in 6% population plots.
- Zonal Reservoirs: Electrical, mechanical, civil work, and GIS mapping of three zonal reservoirs.
- Distribution Lines: Laying distribution lines in Sector 16B and 16C.
- Community Amenities: Repairing swings in various sectors and installing open gym equipment in Sector Two.
