WD News: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board has got Rs 1,960 crores in the budget recently.
Of this, Rs 300 crores have been earmarked for the 20 KL/month free water scheme.
The budget also gave 725 crores for the intake well being built at Sunkishala to provide electromechanical equipment, a substation, and instrumentation works at the intake pumping station.
Sunkishala is being developed to address the water crisis that Greater Hyderabad and its peripheral areas face during summer. The project is being executed at Rs 1,450 crore.
