Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has partnered with WAE Limited to deploy carbon-conscious water infrastructure across select hotels, reinforcing the hospitality major’s sustainability agenda by reducing reliance on single-use packaged water.
As part of the long-term arrangement, WAE will install on-site glass bottling plants integrated with advanced water purification systems that produce BIS 10500-compliant drinking water. The solution enables hotels to bottle purified water in reusable glass containers, reducing plastic waste, transportation emissions and dependence on externally sourced packaged water.
The initiative supports IHCL’s broader environmental strategy by embedding circular water management into hotel operations while maintaining premium guest experiences. The integrated system also gives properties greater control over water quality and operational efficiency.
For WAE, the partnership strengthens its presence in the hospitality sector, where demand is growing for sustainable operational solutions that address resource efficiency and ESG goals. The company’s offerings focus on water quality assurance, reusable packaging and lower-carbon infrastructure tailored for hotels and resorts.
