In the Wilaya of El Tarf, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune announced the launch of new seawater desalination projects set for 2026.
During the inauguration of the “Koudiet Eddraouche” desalination plant, which boasts a production capacity of 300,000 cubic meters per day, the President remarked that “five or six new seawater desalination projects will be initiated in 2026, with the goal of achieving a coverage rate of 62%, excluding groundwater.”
