A summary report capturing inputs from the second Global Online Stakeholder Consultation in preparation for the 2026 United Nations Water Conference is now available.
It reflects 368 inputs from stakeholders based in 82 countries, submitted through an online consultation organised by the Division for Sustainable Development Goals (DSDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA).
The consultation was convened to inform the preparation of concept papers for the six Interactive Dialogues of the 2026 United Nations Water Conference, which will take place from 2 to 4 December 2026 in the United Arab Emirates and will be co-hosted by the Republic of Senegal and the United Arab Emirates.
Working closely with UN-Water, the Conference Secretariat is developing the Interactive Dialogue concept papers based on themes previously agreed by Member States.
The summary report highlights areas of convergence, emerging priorities and cross-cutting issues raised by stakeholders, providing an evidence-informed input to the dialogues, which will be held in parallel with the Conference plenary meetings.
