National Water Mission finishes a day workshop on 'Public Sector Enterprises on CSR'

  • 09 January, 2019 - This workshop was the birth child of thought to involve and encourage corporate sector/Industries to take up, support and promote water conservation and preservation within the industry as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Around 30-35 Navratna Companies and other PSUs were present in the workshop along with Corporates such as Reliance Foundation and organizations like TERI, CII Water Institute etc.

    National Water Mission's goal II emphasises the institution's focus upon promoting citizen and state action for water conservation, augmentation and preservation. It implies empowerment and involvement of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI), Urban Local Bodies (ULB), Water User Associations (WUA) and primary stake holders in the management of water resources and to encourage participation of NGOs in various water resource management, particularly in planning, capacity building and mass awareness.
